Spoken Sunday: To Be Together Again
Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 9:05PM This is my first Spoken Sunday post. I wrote this story up fresh for the occasion. Sensitive listeners be warned, this is a horror piece.

Creeeeeeepy city ... i almost didn't listen since everybody's in bed except me and ... well, i'm a scaredy-cat. It is very scary indeed and lends itself to not only the spoken format, but to your voice. Your pacing is excellent. I look forward to reading / hearing more!

When they couldn't trust their noses, when they had to see it, I feel like that's us (the readers) too. Brilliant. This is really an amazing piece.
Brilliant. Thought I was being led one way (he was in the suitcase) so surprised to find out what was in it. You force us to step outside of our understanding of the world (how can she be walking?!), and you lay each piece just right. Haunting repetition. Nicely done.

Audiobooks have been a huge part of my life, listening to books has gotten me through a lot. I'm aiming to go pro at this and really appreciate the encouragement.
Also, I feel I should mention that this story was inspired by the William Burroughs short story, "A Junky's Christmas." Mr. Burroughs is a kindred soul.

One of the best pieces I've heard from you. Beautifully constructed - or, rather, beautifully broken: The narrative is disjointed, sectioned into handsome passages divided by reveals as abrupt as an axe. And with all that, there's not a snag or a muddle to it. It all fits smooth as ectoplasm.
Truly phenomenal work.
