This is my first Spoken Sunday post. I wrote this story up fresh for the occasion. Sensitive listeners be warned, this is a horror piece. A mysterious young woman hitch hikes across the country, carrying an ominous suitcase...

What a way with words you have... Both spoken and written. I love how you write in black-and-white (if u get my drift)
And I just love that new banner. Just my vibe...
Creeeeeeepy city ... i almost didn't listen since everybody's in bed except me and ... well, i'm a scaredy-cat. It is very scary indeed and lends itself to not only the spoken format, but to your voice. Your pacing is excellent. I look forward to reading / hearing more!
Holy cow!!! You have such a natural voice for this, Pamila. Enjoyed the story greatly, love to hear more!!
"Cigarette smoke flying away like a grey silk scarf..." I love that so much.
When they couldn't trust their noses, when they had to see it, I feel like that's us (the readers) too. Brilliant. This is really an amazing piece.
Brilliant. Thought I was being led one way (he was in the suitcase) so surprised to find out what was in it. You force us to step outside of our understanding of the world (how can she be walking?!), and you lay each piece just right. Haunting repetition. Nicely done.
Pamila, reading your writing is great...hearing you read is fabulous! Your voice is perfect for listening. And to top it off, I was pleasantly repulsed by the tale!
Pamila you are a double threat, outstanding! $$$
How nice to wake up to your generous comments. Reading aloud is my pleasure, so glad you guys enjoyed this one. Yes, it's creepy. But then, so am I.
You have a wonderful voice!! I'd love to hear you read some of your other work too.
Your writing is fantastic anyway, but it seems so much more awesome when I hear it. I can just see all of this in my head.
You do have a wonderful voice, and you tell this tale so very well.
And this story is just killer. The descriptions, the dialogue, her thoughts, all just written so very well. Just excellent.
I hope she makes it back.
Your voice as a writer and a speaker is amazing. You sound world-weary, engaged and enticing all at the same time. Your story weaved well throughout. Truly amazing.
Audiobooks have been a huge part of my life, listening to books has gotten me through a lot. I'm aiming to go pro at this and really appreciate the encouragement.
Also, I feel I should mention that this story was inspired by the William Burroughs short story, "A Junky's Christmas." Mr. Burroughs is a kindred soul.
Magnificent. I really hope you break into audiobooks. I could listen to you read to me for hours. Great story. Very Bella Vista. You are amazing.
Yer just a damn genius. As a writer, and a VO artist.
One of the best pieces I've heard from you. Beautifully constructed - or, rather, beautifully broken: The narrative is disjointed, sectioned into handsome passages divided by reveals as abrupt as an axe. And with all that, there's not a snag or a muddle to it. It all fits smooth as ectoplasm.
Truly phenomenal work.
Great stuff!Well worth the sleep I've lost since reading it.
